Now Windows 11 fully supports USB4 2.0 with data transfer speeds up to 80 Gbps

But there are no corresponding devices on the market yet

Windows 11 finally received support for the USB4 2.0 standard, which offers data transfer speeds of up to 80 Gbps.

This support was previously available in a preview version of the OS, but is now available in a regular update (OS builds 22621.3235 and 22631.3235).

Despite the fact that the USB4 2.0 standard appeared back in 2022, there are no such devices on the market yet. Accordingly, support in Windows 11 is still useless. However, the devices are expected to start appearing this year, as well as devices with support for Thunderbolt 5. But the latter, we recall, will be limited only to systems based on Intel CPUs.
