Tasman will be the most off-road of all Kia cars
In South Korea, a brand new Kia car was filmed in one of the parking lots — Tasman pickup. With it, the Korean brand makes its debut in the segment of full-size frame pickups: after its release (and Tasman is aimed primarily at the US market), the car will compete with Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Nissan Titan and other similar pickups.
And although the Tasman is covered with thick camouflage, it is clear that the car is large. Externally, it will apparently be similar to the flagship Telluride SUV. Inside the Tasman, a switch for driving modes 2H, 4H and 4L was found, that is, there will be all-wheel drive with a reduction range in the transmission. In other words, the Tasman will be the most off-road capable of all Kia vehicles.
In Korea, a Tasman with a double-row cabin was filmed, but there is evidence that there will be versions with a single-row cabin, and even chassis versions (without a cargo platform). The car is credited with a 2.2-liter diesel engine, which will be combined with both a manual and automatic transmission.
The official premiere of the Kia Tasman will take place later this year.
