Druckmann himself either did not read the interview or had nothing against it, because there were no complaints from the creator about the distortion of his own words
Sony has decided to remove an interview with Neil Druckmann, in which he threatened to rethink the conventional wisdom about games, talked about the use of artificial intelligence in development and stated the importance of a good script.
Now in place of the creator’s statements there is a stub, which states that the interview was deleted after the discovery of “several significant errors and inaccuracies”.
“Revisiting our recent interview with Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, we found several significant errors and inaccuracies that do not reflect his views and values (including topics such as animation, screenplays, technology, artificial intelligence and future projects). We apologize to Neil for misrepresenting his words and for any negative impact this interview may have had on him and his team. We have removed the interview in consultation with Naughty Dog and SIE.”.
Druckmann himself either did not read the interview or had nothing against it, because there were no complaints from the creator about the distortion of his own words.
