The Dune franchise will soon be replenished with a new project, this time it will be the ambitious survival game Dune Awakening
Funcom held a presentation dedicated to a new project in the Dune franchise. The authors of Dune Awakening offer an MMO survival based on the famous work of Frank Herbert.
During the Funcom show, they discussed the project and also showed the first full gameplay trailer for Dune Awakening.
The events of Dune Awakening take place on Arrakis, “…one of the most unfriendly planets in the inhabited universe. Write your name into the history of Dune, meet characters from films and books, make enemies, form alliances and find out what secret the silent sands hide.” The danger will be posed not only by the banal “harsh conditions, thirst and heat,” but also by the famous sandworms.
