In 2024, indie developer WoMen in Science reached out to the community. LuanaGames has decided to remove the game from Steam for the foreseeable future.
WoMen in Science is a cozy farming simulator with a scientific element that LuanaGames sold on Steam for several years. Recently he decided to make the project completely free because… It hasn't released updates for a long time. However, a problem arose, according to him, Valve support explained that “since my company will cease to exist, I will need to create another affiliate account” and pay to publish the game on Steam, and he will not give $100 for saving the game on Steam wants. In this regard, LuanaGames decided to move WoMen in Science to itch.io and remove it from Steam.
WoMen in Science has Steam trading cards, i.e. Those who managed to buy the game will be able to collect sets in the future and accumulate enough cards to create a rare badge for their Steam profile, or use them for exchange.
WoMen in Science will be removed from Steam “soon”, the developers did not indicate a specific date.
