Nvidia DLSS can't do that. AMD will finally release software AFMF frame generator in final driver version

It’s January 24th

AMD has announced that driver-based AFMF frame generation technology will be released in final release at the end of this month.

AFMF has been available for several months now, but always only as part of the beta version of the Adrenalin drivers. In particular, AMD recently added AFMF support for the iGPU Radeon 700M.

But on January 24, a new driver will be released in the final version, where AFMF will be available to everyone. Let us remind you that AFMF activates frame generation in any game with DirectX11/12 and it works on all video cards Radeon RX 6000, RX 7000 and now on iGPU Radeon 700M. True, as we have already noted and as AMD itself warns, AFMF is disabled if you actively move the mouse. It also instantly turns back on if you stop doing so, but in any case, this means that for certain genres that imply this behavior of the gamer, AFMF is effectively useless. But there are genres where this technology feels quite normal.
