Apple released iOS 17 for all compatible iPhone models in September 2023
iOS 17 was initially riddled with bugs, from connectivity issues and UI stuttering to overheating issues on the latest iPhone 15 Pro. Almost two months later, the company released updates with fixes for already known problems. Now the network has begun to complain that a strange bug in the latest iOS 17 update is causing the smartphone to completely stop responding and freeze.
A glitch in iOS 17.1.1 means that the iPhone does not recognize touch input and does not respond to pressing the volume and power buttons.
The error boils down to a glitch in the App Library section of iOS 17. It doesn't manifest itself, but it can be activated. As a result, anyone who has access to your phone can trigger the glitch, rendering the device useless.
Apparently it affects a wide range of models. During testing, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro Max froze. According to the user, the bug is part of iOS 17.1.1 and affects the new iPhone 15 models.
To eliminate the consequences, you need to force restart your iPhone – press and release the Volume Up button, then quickly press and release Volume Down, while holding the Power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
