In Blender
The first results of testing the AMD Ryzen processor of the Strix Point line have appeared on the Internet. Let us remember that this is an upcoming mobile line of conditionally basic APUs that will replace the Ryzen 8040U/H/HS. By the way, apparently, having gotten rid of these very indexes at the end.
The test APU did not have a name, but it was some kind of top model, since it had 12 cores — maximum for a new line. What is important is that the testing was done in Blender, and not some Geekbench, that is, we are talking about performance in a real resource-intensive task.
The new product showed a result of 270.92 points, which is almost identical to the result of the desktop Ryzen 7 7700X. This is also a little more than the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X. Among Intel CPUs, the new product can be compared with the Core i7-12700F or Core i7-13850HX, which is slightly faster.
It's also worth noting that the Ryzen 7 8845HS, which is the predecessor of the test APU, scores about 218 points. The increase is quite large, but do not forget about the additional four cores.
It is important to say that there is no data on frequencies and it is unclear how close the test sample is to the production one. Simply put, a stock APU may be even faster.
