Hozon Auto has introduced the Neta L crossover, which should compete with BYD Song Plus and Tesla Model Y. It is available in a hybrid version and with a purely electric powertrain.
The Neta L is equipped with a single electric motor and LFP batteries from SVOLT, a subsidiary of Great Wall Motor. The Neta L is based on the Shanhai architecture that underpins the Neta S sedan and Neta GT coupe. It uses a new minimalist design language. Neta L has a large air intake at the bottom of the front bumper. It also has retractable door handles, plastic fender trim, and a solid taillight.
The dimensions of the Neta L SUV are 4770 x 1900 x 1660 mm with a wheelbase of 2810 mm. It is 15mm shorter and 8mm lower than the BYD Song Plus. The Neta L has a 5-seater interior. Its front and rear tracks are 1613 mm and 1626 mm respectively. The approach and departure angles are 18 and 21 degrees. Neta L is equipped with two wheel options: 225/55 R19 and 225/60 R18.
Neta L EV has a curb weight of 1935 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 2310 kg. The car is equipped with a TZ210XS001 electric motor with a power of 231 hp. Its manufacturer is CRRC Powertrain. Its maximum speed reaches 180 km/h.
The Neta L hybrid received the same electric motor, as well as a 1.5-liter H15R gasoline engine from Dongfeng with a power of 91 hp. It can travel up to 164 km on a single charge in all-electric mode.
Neta L will enter the Chinese market in 2024.
