The AvtoVAZ press service reported that from April 28 to May 12 of this year, the plant carried out work to modernize the production line, prepare for the release of new models and increase production capacity.
To ensure a high level of quality for Lada Vesta and Lada Aura cars, a planned replacement of cataphoretic primer in baths on the body painting line was carried out. The painting and assembly lines of Lada Granta (and from the beginning of 2025 – and Lada Iskra) have been modernized, in particular, the robots that apply glue to the windshield and rear windows have been moved, the elevation marks on the route of the painted body supply conveyor have been changed, and the final test benches have been modernized . All this will have a positive impact on the quality of cars and working conditions of workers. At the same time, in AvtoVAZ's auto component production, production and replenishment of reserves were carried out to ensure an increased production program, as well as the production of spare parts for retail sale.
In addition, work continued to transfer the production of cars at JSC «PSA VIS-AVTO» to the territory of pilot industrial production of JSC «AVTOVAZ» (OPP) to optimize the production of commercial and special models: «During the corporate holiday, work was carried out in the completely renovated workshops of the OPP to adjust welding and assembly technologies. Commissioning work continued at the Lada Izhevsk site: the body painting booth was modernized here, and a power steering refueling installation was launched on the assembly line.
Yesterday, May 15, the plant in Iyuevsk began mass production of Lada Largus.
