While we are talking about ground testing of components

This year they plan to complete ground-based aggregate testing of the components of the emergency rescue system (ESS) for the new Russian manned spacecraft, as a source in the rocket and space industry said. There is no official confirmation of this information yet. It is known that the creation of the SAS for the new ship has been entrusted to the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT), a developer of solid-fuel land- and sea-based intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Previously, Roscosmos General Director Yuri Borisov mentioned that a promising new generation manned transport ship (PTK NP) is now in the final stages of construction (at first it was called «Federation», and then— «Eagle»). It has been in development for many years; the test launch has been postponed several times. According to the latest data, the first launch is now scheduled for 2028. The ship will deliver crews to the Russian Orbital Station (ROS); it will be launched into orbit by a heavy rocket, the Angara-A5M. from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
