Largus will not receive a “powerful” engine from Lada Vesta
Yesterday the Lada Largus production restarted in Russia (vans and station wagons are now produced in Izhevsk), and today new details appeared — about equipping the machines and the release of new versions.
As the director of AvtoVAZ product programs and projects Oleg Grunenkov said, the Cross version of the car with increased ground clearance will be released in the fall of this year. Then, in the fall, 7-seater station wagons will begin to be produced. But the Largus will not receive a 1.8 liter engine, which is already registered under the hood of the Lada Vesta and Lada Aura. But in 2025, a gas version more profitable for commercial use will be released.
As for the equipment features, we can note the presence of airbags, ABS and air conditioning even in the basic version, but there is no ESP: as Oleg Grunenkov said, this system will be introduced if required by law.
