Different reasons

Association «Russian car dealers» (RoAD) appealed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) with a request to check contracts between manufacturers, distributors and car sellers for the presence of «elements of monopolism», as well as unfair competition and discrimination of dealers, as written by the editor-in-chief & laquo;Behind the wheel» Maxim Kadakov with reference to «Vedomosti».

Dealers complain that they cannot recoup their investment in showrooms. And the fact that requirements for updating dealership centers change too often – but at the same time, manufacturers do not have clear obligations to provide technical support to dealers throughout the entire service life of the car. And dealers say that they do not have full compensation for warranty repairs. And they are forced to sell illiquid cars and even options for them.

The claims are mainly made against Chinese companies, which today have become the main suppliers of imported cars to Russia.

I think, if you listen to the manufacturers, they will also have complaints about dealers – and maybe to the regulatory authorities. This is the market now – look for problems outside, not inside.
