It will be close in parameters to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Qualcomm is probably preparing another super-performance platform from the Snapdragon 7 line.
Insider Digital Chat Station says that the next Snapdragon 7 Plus model (perhaps it will be called Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3) will be the most productive in the history of the line. Moreover, it will rely on the same cores as the current flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Recall that there is some confusion in the Snapdragon 7 line. After the mid-budget Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, although there was no Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. Moreover, if the first one scores about 650,000 points in AnTuTu, then the second one — over 1.1 million points! Technically, it's just a slightly weaker Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Then Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which is even slower than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 because it's based on older cores. After that, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 came out, which already scores about 850,000 points, that is, it is noticeably faster than Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, but significantly falls short of Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2.
However, if the new platform in question is called Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, at least it will become clear that models with the Plus prefix in the name are head and shoulders above the usual ones. Probably, such a SoC will score more in AnTuTu than Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
True, there is one important nuance in all this. There seem to be only three models on the market based on Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, although this SoC was introduced almost a year ago. So it's not a fact that Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 will be widespread.
