End of an era: Nokia will remove the phone section from its website, and HMD will no longer produce smartphones under the Nokia name

The Nokia phone section will be permanently removed from Nokia.com as the company distances itself from its once glorious past.

As IT Home writes with reference to Nokiamob, Nokia plans to remove the mobile phone page from the official website (nokia.com/phones) from February 1, and the corresponding content will be posted on the HMD Global website.

According to IT Home, HMD Global has quietly launched hmd.com. The official claims that users will be able to find «original HMD devices, classic Nokia phones and some new partner products» on this page.
