The Edlinger racing team from Germany presented a radically modified BMW i8 hybrid, specially prepared for participation in hill climb competitions. Unlike the standard i8's 231-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, this car gets four 999cc four-cylinder engines from BMW's racing bike.
New power plant with a total power of 880 hp. capable of spinning up to an impressive 14,800 rpm. These motors are synchronized through a complex electronic control system, each of which drives a different BMW i8 wheel. As a result of these changes, the supercar now weighs only 998 kilograms.
The body and chassis have undergone major changes, including the installation of new brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear mechanisms. All wheels are equipped with adjustable Sachs shock absorbers. The Edlinger racing team developed its own aerodynamic elements.
