The Belarusian plant «BelGee», which produces Geely cars, already has a license to produce the first generation Geely Coolray under its own brand, and this year, as reported by the Telegram channel & laquo;Autoflow», «BelGee» will receive licenses for two more models — Geely Atlas Pro and Geely Emgrand.
After switching to the «BelGee» brand these cars will be called BelGee X70 and BelGee S50. And they will become more Belarusian: purchasing a license allows the plant to deepen localization and change the design without coordination with the Chinese.
Question about the appearance of BelGee X70 and BelGee S50 in Russia — open. If the Atlas Pro (albeit under the new designation BelGee X70) will be sold in Russia, then the situation with the BelGee S50 is unclear due to the difference in characteristics: the Russian Emgrand — 6-speed «automatic» and a 122-horsepower engine, while the Belarusian — CVT and 104-horsepower engine.
