Natural gas is stored in either one 80 liter cylinder or two 39.1 liter cylinders
The U5 Plus sedan has appeared in the Russian BAIC line, capable of driving on both gas and gasoline. The regular petrol tank in this car is combined with either one 80 liter cylinder or two 39.1 liter cylinders. Gas storage tanks are located in the trunk.
BAIC did not name the exact power reserve of the bi-fuel vehicle, but noted that it is 1.5 times greater than that of the conventional gasoline version. It is also unknown what engine power is when using gas. On gasoline, the 1.5-liter engine produces 105 hp. It is combined with either a manual transmission or a CVT.
Since all equipment is installed on the bi-fuel BAIC U5 Plus at the factory, the vehicle does not require any additional certification. Price of the car — 2.24 million rubles. For comparison, the basic BAIC U5 Plus costs 2.08 million rubles.
