Nvidia catches up with Apple
Nvidia published a report on the results of the first quarter of the 2025 financial year. Of course, the indicators there are impressive.
Revenue for the quarter grew 262% to $26 billion. Operating and net income grew by 690% and 628%, respectively, to $16.9 and $14.88 billion.
All this is due to sales of accelerators for AI, and this is and will be the most important growth driver for Nvidia for some time.
Actually, the company’s capitalization has soared to $2.62 trillion, and Nvidia is actively approaching Apple with its $2.91 trillion. It is likely that already this year the first will overtake the second, which seemed incredible just a couple of years ago.
As noted by third-party resources, Nvidia’s capitalization is now higher than the GDP of Canada or Russia.
As for more specific company indicators, for example, sales of gaming products brought Nvidia $2.6 billion, which is 18% more than the current year, but sales of data center products, that is, basically just AI accelerators generated $22 billion in revenue, up 427%.
