Nvidia H100 accelerators no longer have to wait a whole year, but the company is facing a drop in demand

True, only because of US sanctions

Demand for Nvidia H100 AI accelerators is so huge that at one point the wait time for deliveries for a number of customers increased to a year. Now Nvidia has managed to solve the problem almost completely, radically lowering expectations.

The company was reportedly able to reduce the time from 8-11 months to just 3-4 months. How such progress was achieved is not known exactly, but it is definitely at least partially due to the efforts of Nvidia’s partners, as TSMC, Hynix, and Samsung are increasing the production of components that are needed, among other things, to create the H100.

In parallel with this, as surprising as it may sound, Nvidia is allegedly observing a decline in consumer interest in AI. But this is not because of market saturation, but because of the political situation in which the company found itself drawn. In particular, we are talking about a ban on the export of H100 and A100 accelerators, and China is a huge market for Nvidia.
