Embracer Group-owned studio will lay off 50% of employees

Black Forest Games has released remakes of the first and second parts of Destroy All Humans over the past few years!

The Black Forest Games studio, owned by the Swedish holding Embracer Group, is going to lay off 50% of its workers. It is noted that the cuts will not affect creative directors and managers.

The German studio Black Forest Games was founded in 2012. At the moment, the company employs a little more than 100 people.

Black Forest Games' latest projects were remakes of Destroy All Humans! The team is currently working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.

According to the Kotaku portal, since the beginning of 2024, almost 4 thousand people have lost their jobs in the gaming industry.
