Payday 3 has become a prime example of how not to run service games. Developers continue to deal with the consequences of a not very smooth start
Payday 3 launched to overwhelming reviews. The reason was not only controversial creative decisions, but also the connection to the online – the servers could not cope with the influx of players.
Subsequently, premium add-ons were released for Payday 3, but also with Syntax Error pricing many questions arose. They expressed the opinion that it is wrong to sell DLC for $18 when there is not a very large amount of content.
The Payday 3 community has been heard. The developers from Starbreeze Studios decided to reduce the cost of future additions (by approximately 33%), and those who purchased the premium Silver and Gold editions will be compensated. The money will not be returned, but they will offer something else – they will give away skins that were intended for sale in the in-game store (due to problems with the game, its launch was postponed).
The compensation roadmap for owners of the Syntax Error DLC set, Silver and Gold editions is as follows – depending on the version/content, they will give sets of skins for weapons and characters.
