Chinese Hygon C86 3350 can compete with Ryzen 5 3500, only with more than double the number of threads

There are two more physical cores

Another Chinese processor performed well against the background of not the newest, but also far from the oldest AMD CPUs. Hygon C86 3350 with eight cores shows performance approximately at the level of AMD Zen 2 generation processors.

More precisely, in Geekbench the Chinese CPU scored 984 and 5379 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. By comparison, the Ryzen 5 3500 scores about the same in multi-threaded mode, but is much faster in single-threaded mode. True, the Chinese CPU has eight cores and supports hyperthreading, but the AMD processor offers six cores without SMT.

What the Hygon C86 3350 is is unclear, but the previous generation of these processors relied on AMD's licensed Zen architecture.
