No word yet on the timing of the launch of the new product into mass production
While the Tesla Cybertruck is gradually gaining momentum in mass production, Chinese automaker Dongfeng presented its concept of an electric pickup truck, which should compete with Elon Musk's brainchild.
While the DFM Pickup has some Cybertruck references, it has its own unique style. The futuristic look is complemented by LED strips between the headlights and taillights, capable of displaying text and graphics. One interesting feature is the doors that open in opposite directions, while maintaining the B-pillar, which hints at the possibility of mass production. The cargo platform is covered with a folding awning, forming a sloping plane, which evokes associations with a Tesla pickup truck.
Most of the dashboard is occupied by screens, and along the edges there are special grips for easy landing. In addition, the car was equipped with a retractable running board. The impressive front seats feature built-in screens in the backrests.
The electric powertrain, whose power reaches an incredible 1305 hp, surpasses even the top version of the Tesla Cybertruck with three motors producing 845 hp.
