It will appear in China a little earlier
April 25 at the Beijing Auto Show, the Chery Jetour brand officially presented its Shanhai T1 and Shanhai T5 SUVs. T1 will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year in China, and T5 — in 2025 or 2026.
According to the Jetour product line, the brand's models are divided into three main categories: urban, light and hardcore SUV. The current lineup of urban SUVs includes the X70, X90 and Dasheng. Among the models in the light SUV series, the Traveler (T-1) ICE version and the Shanhai T2 (plug-in hybrid version of the Traveler) were released.
Shanhai T1 is positioned as a compact SUV, taking on a classic chopped shape. The car received a body about 4.7 meters long and a wheelbase of about 2.8 meters. The car rides on 19-inch petal-shaped two-tone five-spoke wheels paired with all-terrain tyres. It gets four-point headlights that are connected by an LED strip.
The power plant is based on the Chery Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system, equipped with the fifth generation Chery ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid engine. Officials said the vehicle has a maximum combined power of 450 kW and is equipped with an XWD all-wheel drive system.
According to «Chinese cars», Jetour T1 will arrive in Russia at the beginning of 2025.
