The plant met the head of Tatarstan
The head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the plant for the production of premium Aurus cars in Yelabuga. From the photos and videos we can assume that work at the plant is in full swing.
The city administration published fresh photographs showing preparations for cars that will transport ministers, and maybe the president.
Minnikhanov was given a tour of the assembly complex, logistics workshop and small module where cars are tested and repaired.
The published materials showed several Komendant SUVs, as well as several painted bodies, including Senat sedans.
More than 10 years ago, the Moscow NAMI Institute began developing the «Cortege» project, which later turned into Aurus. These cars were supposed to replace the Soviet ZILs and Mercedes Benz Pullman, which transport top officials of the state. The Aurus Senat limousine and sedan were first presented during the inauguration of the President of Russia in 2018.
