Serial production will start in the third quarter of 2024

Editor-in-Chief of «Behind the Wheel» Maxim Kadakov tested the pre-production Lada Aura on the new M-12 highway, and also drove along the capital's roads.

He shared his first impressions of the car at the beginning of the month, and now interesting details have been published. Currently, ten pre-production vehicles have been assembled. They are officially registered and have received license plates. The cars were produced using bypass technology, in particular, extended rear doors and a new roof were made using special equipment. These are solid panels, without welds. Stamps for Lada Aura have already been ordered, mass production will begin in the fall.

Seven machines will be put into trial operation by interested departments. The plant kept three cars for itself to fine-tune driving properties and for certification. Perhaps they will build more — if necessary. Serial production will begin in the third quarter of 2024. And then sales. It is clear that the main customer — state and near-state structures. But Lada Aura will also go on open sale. By the way, simpler versions with fabric upholstery are available — these may be in demand in taxis. The price is still unknown. Initially, AvtoVAZ planned to meet 2.5 million rubles. But this was still in mid-2023. And no one knows what will happen at the end of 2024.
