The United Aircraft Corporation reported that the Tu-214 aircraft produced by the Kazan Aviation Plant (a branch of JSC «Tupolev») made its first flight after being restored to airworthiness.
The airliner, designed to carry passengers, spent 1.5 hours in the air and rose to a height of 10 km. As part of the first flight, systems and equipment were checked. This airliner will be used for tests as a flying laboratory: it will be used to test the replacement of imported components with domestic ones.
