It is possible that some versions of the new generation Haval H9 will not have all-wheel drive
Haval has published new images of the new generation Haval H9 flagship SUV. This time the car was shown “in the interior,” and the most important difference from previously published official renderings is that now there is no spare wheel on the tailgate. Instead – plastic box in which you can store various items. Cars of the early 20th century had something similar.
However, the presence of a box on the trunk lid instead of a spare wheel may indicate some technical changes. For example, if the spare tire was moved outside in order to place the all-wheel drive mechanisms under the trunk floor, then in the case of the car shown in the pictures, this was not necessary. It turns out that the base Haval H9 of the new generation will be front-wheel drive?
There is no answer to this question yet: it will be given during the official premiere, which is expected in the first quarter of this year.
The dimensions of the car are 5000 x 1976 x 1930 mm, wheelbase length – 2850 mm (the version with a “chest” is approximately 70 mm shorter due to the fact that the spare wheel protrudes beyond the door more than the box). The car will have a 2.0-liter gasoline engine combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. and a 2.4-liter turbodiesel combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Haval H9 has already appeared in a photograph taken at the Tula Haval plant. This year, production of this machine will be launched in Russia.
