But not hot
The Galax company introduced an unusual video card RTX 4060 Ti Max at the end of last year. Its unusual feature was its single-slot design. And now this video card has finally hit the market and has been tested.
Technically this is a regular RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, so the performance level is about the same as other such adapters. But the cooler here is very atypical, and tests allow us to understand how good an option this is for the RTX 4060 Ti.
If we talk about temperature conditions, thanks to the relatively low power consumption of the adapter, even this cooler copes very well. Under load, the GPU temperature was about 70 degrees, and the hottest point — about 82 degrees. However, this does not come for free, and physics cannot be fooled. To achieve such a result with such a design, the fan must rotate very quickly — more than 3100 rpm. And in this case, the noise level exceeds 51 dBA, while the RTX 4060 Ti FE shows a figure of 28.4 dBA. That is, the card is very noisy, but at the same time with normal temperature indicators.
