Zeekr imported by dealers will be enough for several more months of sales
Director «Avilon.Electro» Sergey Melyukh announced the cessation of import of popular Zeekr electric vehicles by dealers to Russia. The same applies to Avatr cars.
Now models that are not included in the list of parallel imports (and Zeekr and Avatr are not included in it) must undergo certification according to technical regulations: you need to issue OTTS with a mandatory series of crash tests, and also have official permission of the copyright holder. In fact import of Zeekr, Avatr and other «unauthorized» electric vehicles and hybrids ceased on February 1.
But cars will not disappear from sale. Firstly, according to Sergei Melyukh, there is a stock of cars already imported into the country, and it will last for several months. Secondly, private individuals will continue to import. However, as the stock of cars on free sale is depleted, prices may increase.
