Verified insider revealed its weight: less than 230 grams

The well-known insider Digital Chat Station reported on his Weibo blog that the future foldable flagship Vivo X Fold3 may be the lightest device of this type on the market. Now the lightest folding smartphone is the Honor Magic V2: its weight is 231 grams. According to the source, the thickness of the new Vivo X Fold3 will be 5 mm when unfolded and 10.5 mm — folded. And the weight of the device will be from 220 to 229 grams.

Despite the fact that the insider did not name the exact figure (perhaps the manufacturer himself is still clarifying it), it is already clear that the thickness of the Vivo X Fold3 will be less than 231 grams, like the current leader Honor Magic V2. At the moment, it is known that the release of the new Vivo product will take place in the first quarter of this year. Presumably, there will be a basic version based on SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a more powerful Pro model, which will receive SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The smartphone is also credited with having a periscope lens.
