Ubisoft believes that it has the right to demand $70 for the service game Skull and Bones, because this is an AAAA project

Investors questioned whether players should be asked to pay for a project that many other companies would distribute for free.

During its latest earnings call, investors asked Ubisoft why it decided to charge $70 for Skull and Bones, a service game that many other publishers would have distributed as a free-to-play model, setting the stage for potential growth community.

“You will see that Skull and Bones is a complete game. It's a very big game and we think people will really see how expansive and complete it is. This is a true AAA….AAAA game that will pay off in the long run.”.

AAAA game from Ubisoft after the open beta testing was actively criticized by the community for numerous problems connecting to servers.

Skull and Bones will be fully released on February 16th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
