Trunk door – made of two halves
We already wrote about the Chery iCAR X25 compact van, which turned out to be very similar to the new generation Mitsubishi Delica prototype, and now live photos of the car in full size have been published.
You can clearly see the large slope of the windshield, cameras instead of mirrors (in China, cameras on passenger cars have been allowed since last year, but the production iCAR X25 will most likely receive regular rear-view mirrors), and handles hidden in the door. The tailgate has two halves, which is unusual. The spare wheel is attached to one of them. Among other features — wide running boards like an SUV and wide wheel arches.
What’s interesting is that this car will go into production. More precisely, the company said that there will be three cars in the line. The Chery iCAR 03 crossover is already being produced, the more brutal Chery iCAR V23 has already been declassified and will soon be put into production, and the iCAR X25 will become that very third model. But it’s not a fact that the production version will appear right in 2024.
