Skoda Kamiq is already certified in Kazakhstan
After the production of Skoda in Russia ceased, the Czechs decided to start producing their cars in Kazakhstan. Along with the Octavia and Superb liftbacks, as well as the Kodiaq crossover, the Kamiq crossover will also be assembled in the neighboring country. The machine has already received a local certificate, thanks to which technical details have become known.
Kazakh Skoda Kamiq will be equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo engine producing 115 hp. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive, ground clearance — 182 mm. Nothing is said about the type of transmission, but in other markets the car is equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a proprietary 7-speed «robot» DSG.
The Skoda Kamiq will be produced by Allur at its Kostanay plant «SaryarkaAvtoProm».
