Sales of new cars in Russia soared by 70% in 2024

In the first two months in Russia, 70% more cars were sold than in the same period last year.

According to the agency «Avtostat», based on the results of January – February 2024, 218.9 thousand units of new automobile equipment were sold in our country.

85% accounted for passenger cars, sales of which increased by 82% and amounted to 184.2 thousand units. Other market segments also showed growth, but passenger cars were the leaders in this indicator.

Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) amounted to 14 thousand units, which is 51% more than a year earlier. Sales of trucks amounted to 17.7 thousand units (+15%), buses – 3 thousand pieces (+9%).
