We already reported that Tesla lost the title of the largest electric vehicle manufacturer to BYD in the fourth quarter, and now we have new data from Elon Musk’s company report.

This allowed Tesla to retain its title as the top manufacturer for EV shipments for the year, as BYD's result was 1,574,822 units, as we reported yesterday.
Tesla's most popular models are the Model 3 and Model Y, with 461,538 vehicles delivered and 476,777 vehicles produced during the quarter. In 2023, Tesla produced a total of 1,775,159 Model 3/Y units and delivered 1,739,707 Model 3/Y units.
Tesla said in its official press release that the company will release its fourth quarter and full-year 2023 financial statements, as well as announce net income and cash flow results on January 24 Central Time.
Earlier, Garrett Nelson, a senior analyst at research firm CFRA Research, said: «In terms of Tesla's deliveries in a single quarter, the fourth quarter is typically the largest of the year.” Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg previously forecast that Tesla could deliver about 483,200 vehicles in the quarter.
