«Kaspersky Lab» presented a prototype of an application marketplace for its operating system KasperskyOS. The application store is called Appicenter, its appearance and operation were demonstrated on the Kaspersky IoT Secure Gateway during the Kaspersky Cyber ​​Immunity Conference, which is currently taking place in Dubai. 

The head of the business department for KasperskyOS development, Dmitry Lukiyan, told reporters that the store will open in the third quarter of 2024, and it will have a catalog of programs, as well as a web portal for developers; There will be no paid applications on the marketplace. Lukiyan added that there are already a number of third-party applications for the store. More than a dozen other companies are developing applications for IoT gateways, and these solutions connecting smart devices and the cloud will be the first to receive them.

Foreign applications will also be available in Appicenter, since there are always local manufacturers in each region and country, noted Dmitry Lukiyan.
