At UAZ they introduced a new scheme for checking the body for leaks (AirFlow test) — using special plugs made of ABS plastic, as reported in the corporate newspaper «Panorama UAZ»..

UAZ employees successfully developed and implemented innovative removable plugs for the bodies of UAZ Patriot and Sollers Argo cars. These new elements play a key role in the AirFlow leak test process, meeting all global technical standards.

The equipment was designed taking into account the geometry and features of the body, ensuring full compliance with testing requirements. The plugs are made of special materials that are optimally suited for body analysis during tests. The transparent windshield and rear window covers are made of plexiglass to facilitate visual inspection by the operator inside the vehicle during the test. Other elements are made of ABS plastic using vacuum forming technology.
