Production suspended on December 30
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) and AvtoVAZ came out of the New Year holidays, which lasted from December 30, 2023 to January 8, 2024, and resumed car production.
AvtoVAZ plans to increase car production by almost a quarter compared to 2023 and produce at least 500 thousand cars. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the chairman of the board of directors of AvtoVAZ Denis Manturov.
In 2023, AvtoVAZ produced a record number of cars over the past 10 years (more than 374 thousand units) and ensured technological sovereignty for many critical materials and components.
UAZ continues to improve the quality of its cars, in particular the UAZ &Patriot SUVs. The latest changes will affect the suspension, parts of which will begin to be produced on new lathes.
