The Witcher 4 will go into production in 2024. The game needs time

CD Projekt Red announced financial results that confirm the company's excellent position. But don't count on The Witcher 4 coming out soon.

The Witcher 4 is still in pre-production, with over 400 developers working on the game. During the discussion, Michal Nowakowski revealed that the team responsible for the new The Witcher had reached its “target size.” The developers are ready to begin full production, which will happen in the second half of 2024:

“The Polaris team has grown to over 400 developers, reaching the target size for entering the production stage. It is planned for the second half of the year.”

From the words of a company representative it follows that CD Projekt needs several more years to implement the project. Now the team should not rush too much, since there are funds to implement the adventure. This time, the board of directors should give the developers enough time, since it’s unlikely that anyone will want to repeat the release of Cyberpunk 2077.

But CD Projekt may again face a problem, if The Witcher 4 takes 3-4 years to create, then the release may take place during the release of the new generation.
