Downtime at the plant of LLC «AGR» in Kaluga, which was previously the Russian division of Volkswagen, will be extended after April 1. This was reported in the primary trade union organization ASM LLC «Volkswagen Group Rus» on the social network «VKontakte».
«On April 1, all employees, except those who are on business trips, on sick leave or assigned to work, must come to the plant to familiarize themselves with the order for the next downtime period, its form and duration, and also with other regulatory documents», — written by the trade union.
Previously, downtime at the plant was extended until March 31, 2024. New dates for a possible restart of production have not been announced, and there have been no comments from the plant’s press service yet.
The Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha previously stated that the restart of the former Volkswagen automobile plant in Kaluga is planned for the first half of 2024. According to him, «the final touches in these negotiations have already been completed».
