The new owner of the plant is trying to reach an agreement with GAC, but so far it has not worked out
Sergey Tsyganov, auto expert and host of the Telegram channel «Russian Automobile», reported that the dealer holding «Avilon» may take away the Russian Volkswagen plant (according to documents, the enterprise belongs to Art-Finance LLC, which is associated with Avilon), if they do not start producing cars at the site by the end of this year. Allegedly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is unhappy with the fact that the site is still idle.
«I was recently told that emissaries of "Avilon" continue to knock on the doorsteps of Chinese component suppliers, and GAC representatives are leading the process. But so far the stone flower has not come out: GAC itself is a buyer and cannot process through itself a much larger number of components than what was contracted. Therefore, you need to negotiate directly with suppliers», — reported by Sergey Tsyganov.
Previously, the restart of production at the enterprise was already announced, but in fact the plant never produces the car.
