Belavia is confident that everything will work out in the end
General Director of «Belavia» Igor Cherginets said that the airline is interested in purchasing Russian aircraft, including MC-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New.
«The Russian Federation has a plan to produce a thousand different aircraft by 2030, this is not only the MC-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New, but also other aircraft, — he said . — I would not say that there is any demand to get rid of any Western airliners. But there is a desire and need to purchase new Russian aircraft, those that will also be made in cooperation with Belarus».
He also noted that «Belavia» I would buy MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New planes tomorrow if such an opportunity existed.
«However, while they are going through the stage of testing, modifications, and so on, all import-substituted components are still not enough, — added Igor Cherginets. — However, the process is underway, and I am sure that in the end everything will work out».
General Director of «Belavia» also noted that not a single aircraft in the world, even from famous brands like Boeing and Airbus, was produced quickly.
