Representatives of the Avtograd News public visited one of the Lada dealers in Tolyatti and told how things are going with the sale of «anti-crisis» Lada Vesta – in a minimal configuration and without airbags. It turned out that Russians are not eager to buy such cars: according to managers, from the moment such cars arrived at the warehouse, not a single car has been sold.
«Potential customers simply brush aside the purchase offer, preferring to consider purchasing either previously released Vesta, where almost everything is present, and there are still many such machines in stock, or purchasing cheaper Granta. Also, car dealership employees expressed concern that cars with a simplified configuration would simply “freeze.” they have », – explains Avtograd News.
According to insiders, since December 11 last year, AvtoVAZ has produced about 18 thousand «anti-crisis» Lada Vesta – with minimal equipment and no airbags. According to the same Avtograd News, many (if not all) options in the Lada Vesta have already returned, and from about February 20 the car will begin to be equipped with airbags.
