In the future, the processor can be replaced with the latest Ryzen AM5
The well-known mini-PC manufacturer Minisforum presented a miniature server called MS-A1 at Computex 2024. The device can be equipped with one of three processors — Ryzen 7 8700G, Ryzen 5 8600G or Ryzen 5 7600, and in the future any of these CPUs can be replaced with a newer processor from the Ryzen 9000 line.
The motherboard has two slots for DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM modules, maximum RAM — 96 GB. It is possible to connect a U.2 drive, and in general the device supports connecting four M.2 NVMe SSDs. Among the interface connectors there is OCuLink, so you can connect a discrete accelerator (but OCuLink is connected to four PCIe 4.0 lanes).
Also, Minisforum MS-A1 has two 2.5 Gbps network ports, one HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and two USB 2.0.
