As RIA Novosti writes, left-wing extremists from the Vulcan Group took responsibility for the arson of the substation. In their statement, they called Elon Musk a «technofascist». and the temporary closure of the plant — gift on March 8th. They believe the destruction of the Tesla plant is the right step.

Tesla's Greenhide plant has been controversial since it was built, drawing criticism from environmental groups over its potential environmental impact. Tesla has not yet commented on the incident.
