The money will be used to finance at least ten significant projects
Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin ordered to localize the production of the maximum possible number of components for cars and monitor the price of cars, and also announced the allocation of an additional 15 billion rubles for the development of the automotive industry.
“We continue to provide comprehensive support to enterprises in the face of external restrictions, including against the backdrop of logistical difficulties with the supply of foreign spare parts. To guarantee the uninterrupted operation of conveyors, it is necessary to localize the production of the maximum possible number of automotive components within the country,” the Prime Minister said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The funds will be used to finance at least ten significant projects, including the organization of serial production of an anti-lock braking system and passive safety elements. “At the same time, it is necessary to keep control over the final cost of domestic cars,” Mishustin said.
The allocation of funds, according to Mishustin, will increase the pace of development and production of components.
