The retail price was 1.5 thousand dollars lower than the pre-order price
The new Hyundai Sonata business sedan was officially presented in China. If before this the car could only be ordered, now retail sales are starting, and according to the long-standing Chinese tradition, the car turned out to be cheaper at retail — 19.4 thousand dollars versus 20.9 thousand dollars at the pre-order stage.
The car is offered in three trim levels (Air, Pro and Max) with two engines: a 1.5-liter with 170 hp. and 2.0-liter 250 hp. Both engines are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The price of the top version with a 1.5 l engine — 22.5 thousand dollars, top version with a 2.0-liter engine — 25.9 thousand dollars. Interestingly, the Sonata turned out to be more powerful and cheaper than the new Toyota Camry. The car is produced in China itself, at the Beijing Hyundai plant. The Chinese classify the car as the 11th generation, but all over the world it is a restyled version of the 8th generation Sonata.
The dimensions of the car are 4945 x 1860 x 1450 mm, wheelbase — 2875 mm.
Externally, the Chinese Sonata is no different from the global one, and the same can be said about the interior. The car received a panel with two 12.3-inch diagonal screens, a gearbox mode switch on the steering column lever, a multifunction steering wheel, a media system with fingerprint recognition, BOSE acoustics with 12 speakers, as well as 27 different driver assistance systems.
