The project will require about 35 billion rubles of investment
During the ceremony that took place today, March 14, the construction of the high-speed line (HSR) Moscow — St. Petersburg, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that the «Sinara» group will become the main manufacturer of high-speed trains. The trains will be produced at the site of «Ural Locomotives» in cooperation with «Transmashholding».
Manturov noted that the group «Sinara» is most suitable for performing this task as the lead contractor: its competencies and technologies allow it to «move into the segment of electric trains with speeds of up to 400 km/h». To produce such trains at the site of «Ural Locomotives» it is planned to build two new buildings with a total area of 60 thousand square meters. m. «Transmashholding», in turn, will provide new trains with a number of components and systems.
The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned that the total investment in the project will be about 35 billion rubles. According to Manturov, starting from 2027, «Ural Locomotives» will be able to produce about 100 cars annually for use on high-speed lines. Construction of the High-Speed Rail System Moscow — St. Petersburg is provided for by the draft Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030 with a forecast for the period until 2035.
